Sharon Rogers

GAHRA Future Leaders 002Ms. Rogers, a Georgia native holds dual Bachelor’s Degrees in Human Services and Case Management and an Associates Degree in Business Administration from Macon State College. 

After working in the Communication Industry of Radio and Television for 8 years at radio stations WIBB/97.9 and WGXA-TV Channel 24 in Macon, GA; Ms. Rogers began working at the Warner Robins Housing Authority as Program Coordinator.  This position has allowed Ms. Rogers the opportunity to help develop and implement Programs and activities for the residents.  Ms. Rogers received the SERC-NAHRO Housing Award for “Kids Only News”, which highlighted youth achievements; and has been featured in articles for the Macon Telegraph and Georgia Informer through her public service work.  She coordinates and plans all programs and activities for the Warner Robins Housing Authority; her most recent achievement was organizing and planning one of the largest Back 2 School Bashes in the Middle Georgia area in which 5,000 book bags were successfully given away.   

Ms. Rogers often tells residents that “If you don’t design your own life plan, chances are you’ll fall into someone else’s plan.  And guess what they have planned for you; Not much!
